Song // “The Detectorists” by Johnny Flynn

Anyone who knows me knows that I have gone through a recent obsession with Johnny Flynn. Flynn was born in South Africa, but moved to the UK at the age of two. He won a scholarship to an independent school where he sang in the chapel choir and was required to learn two instruments; the violin and trumpet. He later taught himself to play guitar, and can be heard playing all three instruments (not at the same time) on several of his tracks.

This song is the theme song for a  show on BBC called The Detectorists, which I also recommend checking out. I hope this song is the gateway drug into exploring the rest of his discography, because it is endlessly amazing.
