Song // “Swim Until You Can’t See Land” by Frightened Rabbit

Frightened Rabbit is one of the bands you’ll probably see as a reoccurring character on Will Call, as they are one of my favorites.

It was hard to choose just one song or just one album, but “Swim Until You Can’t See Land” has always stood out to me. It is a lighthearted song, both in instrumentation and lyricism, and about moving forward (seemingly from an unhealthy relationship) and swimming so far from shore, that you can’t even see it anymore.

It probably isn’t even the best representation of Frightened Rabbit as it is unusually borderline optimistic for Scott Hutchinson, the same person who wrote “Good Arms vs Bad Arms” and “Keep Yourself Warm” (if you are unfamiliar with those songs, listen and you’ll know what I mean).
